Mouse Warp 2.1 Copyright (c) 1992-1994 TOGGLE BOOLEANS All rights reserved. We have tested Mouse Warp in a variety of environments in order to ensure compatibility with a broad range of systems. However, the continually growing number of combinations of hardware and software makes it impossible to test Mouse Warp in all environments. We have tried to adhere to all applicable development guidelines from Microsoft and other sources but even a perfect program can fail when run in combination with another program that uses non-standard or unrecommends procedures. Un-Installing Mouse Warp ------------------------ The first thing to do when you experience severe incompatibilities such as a system lock up, is to stop Mouse Warp from loading as soon as Windows starts. From DOS, using a DOS editor such as EDIT, edit the WIN.INI file in your Windows directory. Find the 'load=' line under the [windows] section. After the equal sign will be the name of the Mouse Warp executable and of any other executables that are loaded when Windows starts. Remove the reference to Mouse Warp. For example if the line currently reads: load=c:\mouswarp\mouswarp.exe c:\other\other.exe Change it to read: load=c:\other\other.exe After you have completed the above procedure, save the file and exit the editor. Now when you run Windows Mouse Warp will not be started automatically. If you wish, you may now try to close other applications that may have running, especially if your are running alternate desktop programs or other cursor enhancement tools. Next, try to run Mouse Warp by doubling click on the MOUSWARP.EXE file from the File Manager. If a lock up occurs again, reboot and then run Windows again. This time, try removing any other utilties you may have running. If you do not succeed in locating the conflict, you can remove Mouse Warp from your system by deleting the Mouse Warp files from the directory where you installed it, removing MOUSWARP.INI from your Windows directory and removing MOUSWARP.CPL from your Windows system directory.
