This is the README.TXT file distributed with
version 2.0 of Time Zone, a Control Panel
extension for 32-bit Windows platforms.
Time Zone requires Windows NT 3.5 or higher
32-bit platform.


COPYRIGHT and COST
------------------
Time Zone is a copyrighted computer program.
It is created and distributed by Impact Software.
Our intention is to provide Time Zone to companies
and computer owners for their OWN USE ONLY.
You may share Time Zone with others by providing
it to them at the same price we do - free.  A
limited distribution license is included in our
legalese section below for BBS owners and
shareware distributors.

INSTALLING TIME ZONE
--------------------
Impact Software places three files in the original
file package that Time Zone is distributed in.
One of these files is the README.TXT file that you
are reading now.  The other two files are named
TIMEZONE.CPL (the program file) and TIMEZONE.HLP
(the online Help file).  All you need to do to
install Time Zone is copy the TIMEZONE.CPL file
and the TIMEZONE.HLP file to your WINNT\SYSTEM32
directory.  It will automatically be made available
to you by Control Panel.

UNINSTALLING TIME ZONE
----------------------
Time Zone makes absolutely no updates to any
configuration file on your system.  All you need
to do to uninstall is to delete the TIMEZONE.CPL
and TIMEZONE.HLP files from your WINNT\SYSTEM32
directory.

 SOFTWARE LICENSE

 Users are granted a limited license to use Time Zone
 on their own computer systems.

 No one may modify or patch the Time Zone executable file
 in any way, including but not limited to decompiling,
 disassembling, or otherwise reverse engineering the program.

 A limited license is granted to copy and distribute Time Zone
 only for the use of others, subject to the above limitations,
 and also the following:

  1)    The Time Zone modules and this README.TXT file must be
        distributed together and in unmodified form.

  2)    Time Zone may NOT be packaged to promote any
        other product without a specific license to do so
        from Impact Software.

  3)    No fee, charge, or other compensation may be requested or
        accepted, except as authorized below:

        A) Operators of electronic bulletin board systems (sysops)
           may make Time Zone available for downloading only as
           long as the above conditions are met.  An overall or
           time-dependent charge for the use of the bulletin board
           system is permitted as long as there is not a specific
           charge for the download of Time Zone.

        B) Vendors of user-supported or shareware software approved by
           the ASP may distribute Time Zone, subject to the
           above conditions, without specific permission.  Non-
           approved vendors may distribute Time Zone only after
           obtaining written permission from Impact Software.
           Such permission is usually granted.  Please write for
           details (enclose your catalog).

        C) Non-profit user groups may distribute copies of the
           Time Zone diskette to their members, subject to
           the above conditions, without specific permission.
           Non-profit groups may collect a disk duplication fee
           not to exceed five dollars.

  WARRANTY

  THIS PROGRAM IS DISTRIBUTED AT NO CHARGE FOR THE
  BENEFIT OF ALL USERS OF WINDOWS NT.  IMPACT SOFTWARE
  DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,
  INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
  MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE,
  WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCT.  SHOULD THE PROGRAM PROVE
  DEFECTIVE, THE PURCHASER ASSUMES THE RISK OF PAYING THE
  ENTIRE COST OF ALL NECESSARY SERVICING, REPAIR, OR

  U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS

  Use, duplication, or disclosure by the Government is subject

  the Rights in Technical Data and Computer Software clause at
