SilkNet - An adult oriented QWK network

SilkNet came into being in Missoula, Montana, in March of 1995, for the
purpose of linking 2 adult boards in our area. 

Since that time, I have revieved inquiries from other BBS's, and have
decided to open SilkNet to anyone who wishes to echo it.

SilkNet was designed to run on Synchronet BBS software.


CONFERENCES:

201     Board News

        General news about boards carrying SilkNet. Primarily used as a forum
        for Sysops to share stuff about their boards with other SilkNet 
        systems.

202     Sex Talk

        General sexual discussion. Flirt, seduce, cyberfuck, whatever.

203     Erotic Stories

        For posting of erotic stories and fantasies. Not discussion.

204     The Closet

        ANONYMOUS POSTS ONLY! This base is for "anything goes". If someone
        wants to talk about their pecadilloes, this is the place.

205     Personals

        For personal adds.

206     Gay Forum

        MEN ONLY! For men to talk with and meet other men.

207     Lesbian Forum

        WOMEN ONLY! For women to talk with and meet other women.

208     Straight Forum

        This one is a little redundant. Very little traffic

209     Swingers Forum

        For all the swingers out there. Couples seeking 3rds, group action,
        all that and more.

211     These areas are message bases for a private club. Your
212     QWK account will not have access to these areas. Unless...

214     SilkNet Sysops

        SYSOPS ONLY! For SilkNet sysops to talk to one another. 


Other message bases, dedicated to particular aspects of sexuality (fetishes, 
bondage, toys, etc.) may be added at a later date.

CONFERENCE NUMBERS

Currently, my board only supports the old convention (3 digit) for conference 
numbers

When my board upgrades to Synchronet v2.11, the conference numbers will 
change. This will be made known to all SilkNet nodes.

INNER SANCTUM AREA

Conferences 210-213 are for a private adult club in Missoula. If you wish to
echo these conferences, you will have to travel to Missoula at least ONCE, 
and participate in a "meeting". Access to these areas are limited to members
only. This can be done via flags, or via user level.

JOINING SilkNet

To join SilkNet, print out the application form, complete it, and mail it,
along with a photocopy of a valid ID showing your birthdate, and mail it to:

When I receive your application, I will set up an account for you on my BBS,
and then call YOUR BBS and let you know it's all set and ready to go. As soon
as I log off your system, you will be able to begin polling.

HUBBING SilkNet

If you wish to hub SilkNet to other boards, go ahead and do so. Just let me 
know so I can update the HUB and NODE lists.
