Household Register Installation Instructions

Household Regsister is a dos program but is compatible with Win 3.1 and Win
95.  The program comes with two installation routines. One to install the
program strickly as a dos application. The other routine will install the
program to be run from a program group from Win 3.1 or Windows 95.


DOS INSTALLATION AND START-UP

1. Insert the Household Register disk in the A or B drive as applicable.

2. Type A:\INSTALL or B:\INSTALL as applicable.

3. Follow the on screen instructions.

NOTE: If you downloaded the program from a BBS, after unzipping the
program, change to the directory where you unzipped the program and type
INSTALL and follow the on screen instructions.

To start the program after installation change to the directory where you
installed the program (normally C:\HR) and type HR and press the
enter key.  To get to the correct directory type the following:

                          CD\
                          CD\HR
                          HR

Press the ENTER key after each line above.


WINDOWS 3.1 INSTALLATION and START-UP

1. Start Windows and the Program Manager

2. Choose File|RUN

3.Type A:\SETUP.EXE or B:\SETUP.EXE as applicable.

4. Answer Yes to the question "Install programs in Program Manager?"

NOTE: If you downloaded the program from a BBS, after unzipping the
program choose FILE|RUN and type the drive and path where the file is
located followed by SETUP.EXE. For example: C:\TEMP\SETUP.EXE and follow
the instructions.

To start the program, click the TurboSystemsCo DOS Apps group, then double
click the Household Register icon.  To switch between full screen mode and a
dos window mode press the ALT + ENTER key.

WINDOWS 95 INSTALLATION and START-UP

1. From Windows 95 Click the Start button, point to Settings, then click
the Control Panel.

2. On the Control Panel, double click Add/Remove programs.

3. Follow the on screen instructions.

4. Answer Yes to the question: "Install programs in Program Manager?"

NOTE: If you downloaded the program from a BBS, after unzipping the
program start the Windows Explorer, navigate to the directory where
you unzipped the file and double click on SETUP.EXE. Follow the on
screen instructions and the program will be installed.

To start the program, click the start button, then Programs, then
TurboSystemsCo DOS Apps then double click the Household Register icon.
Press the ALT + ENTER key to switch between full screen an dos window
mode for the program.
     


                  * PRINTER INSTALLATION *



The printer installation program is entered by selecting option 4
on the Main Menu Screen.  HR is set-up to work with Epson
printers and compatibles.  You are given five choices (A) Epson
MX,RX,LQ and Compatibles (B) IBM Pro Printer and Compatibles, (C)
HP Laser/Deskjet and Compatibles (D) Generic and (E) Cannon.

Normally you should choose A, B, C or E.  However if your printer
does not print correctly try the Generic printer (D).  You should
be able to print all reports except Total Value- Lg, Index Cards
(3 X 5) and Rolodex Cards.  You should also be able to print these
reports if you can manually set-up your printer for compressed
print prior to printing the reports.


NOTE: The Index Cards (3 X 5) and Rolodex Cards cannot be printed
correctly on a Laser, DeskJet or Cannon printers in this version.
