What is OOG ? ---------------- OOG, The Object Orientation Game is a Windows application that allows you to play with and attempt to solve various types of polyform puzzles such as Tangrams and Pentominoes. Here is a quick list of the major features of OOG. o Multiple polyform puzzle games in a single application o Automatically determines when you've found any solution to a puzzle o Automatic snapping, or alignment, of game pieces to the puzzle and each other o Create your own puzzles that can be saved to disk and exchanged with others o Save your progress on a puzzle so you can try again later o All game play operations are performed using a two or three button mouse o Player progress tracking remembers which puzzles you've solved o Animated hints and solving of puzzles for the frustrated player o Ability to change the color of the game pieces and the puzzle o "Auto-Advance", "By Number" and "By Picture" puzzle selection methods o A complete Windows Help file describing game play and all features OOG is built "on top of" the Object Orientation Game Library, OOGL. This very powerful library is the real brains behind OOG and allows us to present you with many different types of polyform puzzles in a single application. MCM Productions developed OOG and OOGL using the latest object-orientated analysis, design and programming techniques, more commonly abbreviated as OOA, OOD and OOP by the software community. (Everybody see our little joke?) MCM Productions hopes you enjoy playing OOG. We enjoyed developing it for you! 2. Installation --------------- If you are installing OOG from an installation diskette simply place the floppy into your diskette drive (A: or B:), select Run... from the Program Manager's File menu, type "A:\INSTALL.EXE" and hit the Enter key. Follow the steps presented by the setup program to complete installation. If you are installing OOG from a ZIP file, unzip the file into a temporary directory and run the installation program, INSTALL.EXE, using any of the standard Windows methods for performing such a task (i.e. Choose Run... from the Program Manager's File menu). Follow the steps presented by the setup program. When the installation is complete, you can delete the files that were uncompressed into the temporary directory from the ZIP archive file. 3. Un-Installation ------------------ All of the files required for OOG are copied into the installation directory you select during the program's installation setup procedure. The default for this directory is C:\OOG. The only file OOG creates without your direct knowledge is OOG.INI, the program's initialization file. This file is created in the same directory where the program was installed. Therefore, to remove OOG from your system you must simply delete the files in the OOG installation directory and then delete that directory. (We are assuming you have not placed any other files of value into that directory and we are not liable for any lost data that may result from following this procedure.) 4.
