RT Edit Registration Information


When you first acquire RT Edit, you are licensed to use the program
for 60 days.   After 30 days from installation and 1st use of RT Edit, you
will see a registration reminder screen upon each startup.  This does not
mean the license is expired.  You are still licensed for the remainder of 
the 60 day period.  After the 60 day period has expired, you do not have a
legal installation unless you become fully licensed by registration.

Whenever you are using RT Edit and decide to continue using it, your 
registration of the program will be greatly appreciated.   

The registered version of RT Edit is $35.00 post paid in the US. You 
will be sent a disk with the latest version and a printed manual.  You will
receive a registration number to use in entering registration data into the 
program.  Entering the number will prevent further reminder screens from
appearing upon program startup.  You will also be notified of any updates to
the program.  The license agreement provided as a result of registration is
listed in the section below.

Registration entitles you to a minimum of three months support.  See 
file SUPPORT.TXT distributed with the program for further details.

CHECK OR MONEY ORDER:

Direct orders from MLK Software may be made by sending your personal 
U.S. check or money order with a completed registration form. The 
registration form is found in file REGISTER.FRM distributed with the 
RT Edit program.  Please make checks payable to MLK Software.  Send
your registration form and payment to:

You will receive the disk, manual and a registration number.  To record
your registration in the program after installation, you may choose
the About RT Edit item on the Help menu.  To register, click on View
Registration instead of OK.  You will be prompted for a user name, then
for the registration number.  If it is not a proper number, you will
see an error message.  Otherwise the software becomes registered and
you will not see a registration reminder screen again unless your system
is rebuilt or RT Edit's data file is deleted or damaged.  Since such
things are possible, please keep your registration number in order to
redo the registration if necessary.

For use by  corporations and other institutions or for any other multiple 
license use, please contact MLK Software for a licensing  arrangement.

                 Single User License Agreement

Copyright law and international copyright treaty protects RT Edit(TM) 
software.

The registration fee will license one copy of this copyrighted software 
for use on any one computer at any one time.  You must treat this 
software just like a book.  An example is that this software may be 
used by any number of people and may be freely moved from one computer 
location to another, so long as there is no possibility of it being 
used at one location while it's being used at another, just as a book 
cannot be read by two different persons at the same time.

Users of RT Edit must accept this disclaimer of warranty:  "RT 
Edit is supplied as is.  MLK Software disclaims all warranties, 
expressed or implied, including, without limitation,  the 
warranties of merchantability and of fitness for any purpose.  MLK 
Software assumes no liability for damages, direct or consequential,  
which may result from the use of RT Edit."

MLK Software will replace defective media if it is returned.   If 
the RT Edit software will not run satisfactorily on the user's 
computer configuration, MLK Software will correct the problem or 
refund the registration fee.
