Archive Filename: FredIcn4.zip Description: Well, this is my personal OS/2 icon collection. It contains over 1000 (1022 to be exact :-)) OS/2 icons, many of them you can't find elsewhere. IMHO, this is simply the best ensemble of OS/2 icons available! How to decompress this file: To decompress the icons with the EAs intact, use Info-ZIP's Unzip (5.0 or later). My icons reside on a HPFS partition: Everything is just like before, you can skip the next paragraph. My icons reside on a FAT partition: In order to let ALL OS/2 users to enjoy the benefit of having meaningful filenames, I used .LONGNAME EA to store the long filenames starting this release (FredIcn4.zip). To see the long filenames, create a shadow ob- ject of the icons folder on your OS/2 Desktop, and bingo - now you can enjoy the same priviledge of having cool, descriptive filenames that people with HPFS partitions have long enjoyed since OS/2 1.2! Icons with 256 colours: In order to view some icons at 40x40x256 (I think there are also some icons at 64x64x256 - 1.2 8514/A format), one has to have OS/2 2.x running at 1024x768x256 or higher resolution. To anyone who has some nifty icons which are not contained in this zip file: ********************************************* ** E-MAIL THEM TO ME AT fredng@io.org! ** ** (zip them up and uuencode the zip ** ** file first, of course...) ** ********************************************* *** Have Fun!!! ***
