WHATSNEW.TXT List of features new to version 2.0 FIXES.TXT History of program fixes README.TXT This file Stickies! is distributed in two forms, depending on the disk size used. If your distribution disk has a single file, ST20.EXE, then this is a self-extracting archive which contains all the other files. If your disk has all the files listed above, then you should skip the next step. To install Stickies! from the self-extracting archive, copy ST20.EXE to a directory on your hard disk that contains no other files, and run it. It will create the files listed above. Once you've completed the installation, you can delete the files from this directory. To install Stickies! from a distribution disk that has the files listed above, you can either install directly from the floppy disk or copy the files to a directory on your hard disk. Next, run the INSTALL.EXE program. This program will copy the Stickies! program and data files to the directory of your choice, and it will copy COMMDLG.DLL and SHELL.DLL to your Windows system directory if you don't already have those files. If you allow the installation program to run Stickies!, it will make Stickies! perform its self-test. You can run the self-test any time you wish by selecting "Perform self-test" on the main Stickies! program menu. Note that Stickies! will never, under any circumstances, modify your AUTOEXEC.BAT, CONFIG.SYS, WIN.INI, or SYSTEM.INI files, and it no longer stores any of its data files in your Windows directory. The most convenient way to use Stickies! on a daily basis is to add it to your Startup group if you're using Windows 3.1 or later, or add "STICKIES.EXE" to the "run=" line in your WIN.INI file if you're using Windows 3.0. See STICKIES.WRI or the on-line help for complete instructions on how to use Stickies!, as well as registration and technical support information.
