SYMPTOMS
========
 
After Setup copies Windows NT system files to the hard disk and the
system reboots from the hard disk, the following error may occur:
 
   NTLDR I/O Error Cannot Read Disk
 
CAUSE
=====
 
Some generic Local Bus IDE controllers have been found to cause this
error, although other problems can also cause this error.
 
RESOLUTION
==========
 
If a Local Bus IDE host adapter is used in the system, replace it with
a normal IDE host adapter.
 
One of the controllers can be identified by observing the information
the system writes to the screen during the boot process. If Super
VESA is displayed in reference to a Local Bus IDE host adapter, the
adapter should be replaced.
