Therefore, the password cannot be changed at the command line as was possible with Microsoft Windows for Workgroups and Microsoft LAN Manager. To change your password on a remote machine or domain (assuming you have a user account on the remote machine or domain): 1. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL. 2. Select Change Password. 3. In the From box, type the remote machine name or domain name. 4. In the Old Password box, type your old password. 5. Type your new password in the New Password and Confirm New Password boxes. This will successfully change your password on the remote machine or domain, provided the creator of your user account allows the password to be changed.
