Installation:
-------------
To install Application Dock, simply unzip or copy APPDOCK.EXE and 
APPDOCK.HLP to a directory in your path.  The first time you run 
this program, an About dialog box will pop up to remind you that
this is a shareware program.  From then on it will only appear
when you select About from the Help menu.

	(NOTE: If you are upgrading from a previous release of 
	Application Dock, you MUST delete any program, help, ini, 
	and dck files before installing version 4.0.)

How Do I Use This Stupid Thing?:
--------------------------------
This program uses both the left and right mouse buttons.  
Clicking on a dock button with the right mouse button will 
popup a menu for that button, while double-lcicking with the 
left mouse buton on a button will execute the program set for 
that button.  The top button in the dock is the system button, 
it's menu allowing you to exit the program, set preferences, 
get help, etc...  The other buttons below it are the program 
item buttons, which you can assign to various programs.  It's 
menu allows you to edit the settings for the item you clicked 
on, delete or add new items to the dock, and get help.  The 
online help contains the full documentation for the rest of 
this program. See it for more details on using the software, 
as well as for instructions and an order form for registration.

This software is shareware, it is NOT free.  If you like the 
program and continue to use it, you MUST register the program.  
The shareware version contains the one limitation of allowing 
only 6 items in the dock.  The Registration fee is $10.00 US.

are included: APPDOCK.EXE, APPDOCK.HLP, ADREADME.TXT.

All of the above files must be combined into a single compressed 
file or one floppy disk for distribution.  Beyond a fee for

1.00  First version distributed on a very limited basis.  Buggy, and hard
      to work with.

1.01  All bugs from 1.0 fixed - now fully functional, except for limitation
      on icons (only 8 available) and reminder boxes

1.20  shareware release - updated with a few bugs corrected.  Limitation on
      number of icons removed, but startup reminder box still present.

1.50  Initial registered version - included interactive Application Dock
      editor v1.0 plus other small improvements.

1.60  Interim registered version - never distributed - Application Dock 
      Interactive Editor v1.1, ability to minimize dock, and option to 
      run a program not in dock.

2.00  Shareware version - Sizing bug fixed.

2.10  Registered version - Application Dock Editor 2.1 introduced - bug 
      fixes in both dock and editor programs - base for future enhancement.

3.00  Major revision - 40x40 pixel buttons added.

3.10  Bugs present in v3.0 fixed and code fine tuned.

4.00  Latest version released 7/15/92 - first version to be released
      written in C++.  Greatly enhanced with the complete rewrite from 
      scratch.
