 AB    We report a new case of excessive growth of eyelashes in a patient
       seropositive for human immunodeficiency virus 1. The exact mechanism of
       this hypertrichosis is still unknown. Although this sign seems to occur
       late in the human immunodeficiency virus infection, we believe early
       recognition of this manifestation could lead, in some cases, to earlier
       diagnosis of the infection.
