I think the incredible music is what makes a phish show a 'show' > and not a concert - not sirens. You obviously missed part of my original post. For one thing, you forgot to quote the smiley that followed the statement you quoted. <> Second, the siren _is_ part of the music. Like I said before, this is part of the SONG NO2 (Nitrous). If you are going to rebut a post, you might want to read the whole article first. -- Mark L. Union Federal is taken from a live show. I tend to doubt that Fishman lit up a bong on stage at Nector's. 2^3 -- Mark L. Seems that when our Yankee patriots took over in that country following WWII, the Japanese discovered Beethoven, and loved the music. Cliff Clavin "What's this phish doing in my bed?" You have a responsibility (to yourself) to read Lo's original statement and know what you are talking about before you babble. Of course, I also fully support anyone who wants to look like a fool. It gives me something to do. ***Folks, continue (please) to trim quotes as much as possible, as long as there is a reference to the original so we can read the whole thing if we need to. Have a nice day. Drew (the penis) - I won't even waste my time responding to your "netiquitte", I'm fully aware fo posting things etc., etc. The practice may be to quote as little as possible, but at least quote enough to gain some insight, I agree entirely with everything Drew said, no flames intended. Unfortunately some netters believe it or not don't have the time to sift through the legions of posts for the original one, chances are I would have deleted the orignal post by now anyway. Thats why as Drew would say I "babble". Sorry my words aren't considered thought out words of gold as the immortal penis'. Looks like your going to be a busy man Drew. Everything about this show was incredible, from the parking lot vibes all sunny afternoon to the warm clear liquid sound in the small stately hall. Someone said a while back that Mike mentioned this show in the context of the 'hose' appearing on fall tour. Of the 9 shows I saw this year, this one, Red Rocks 6/11/94, and Orlando (10/22 ?) were the best. From Orlando the Gumbo, the AC/DC, and the Dinner and a Movie were standouts in a smokin' outdoor show. -- *-------------------------------------------------------------------* | Jim Lyle | (witty quote temporarily | | Systems Integration Services | unavailable) | | Data General Corporation | | | jel@atlanta.dg.com | | | jim lyle@DGC.ceo.dg.com | | *-------------------------------------------------------------------* | Disclaimer: These words are from ... my self alone. | *-------------------------------------------------------------------* ------------------------------ From: "STEW, The DoN" Subject: The CD... mixed feelings Reply-To: gstewart@students.wisc.edu Date: Tue, 14 Feb 1995 18:41:45 GMT Though I have mentioned some of my choices for a CD I have mixed feelings about a sampling from different shows. Mainly, there is something in a full show, listening to it the way it was supposed to be. That is one of the reasons why I don't buy boot CDs either, you can't listen to a full set on it. THere is something lost by sampling from concerts. We all have boots that sound good, now why do we want a CD that doesn't promote one of the best things about Phish, namely that a live show includes the high points and low points and that mix within a show is what makes each show different and special... Something is lost in a live CD. Does anyone else share similar sentiments? There are good things too about a CD too... but that is not what this message is about.
