Brad, if you're reading this, I apologize about my Bad Trader Alert. I was unaware that you were unable to contact everyone. I don't know what the situation is exactly, but I know enough to extend an apology to you and the rest of the phish.net community. ------------------------------ From: lionelli_dav@csusys.ctstateu.edu Subject: Bela Fleck & Phish Date: 14 Feb 95 12:35:11 EST This is a jam I would like to hear: Bela Fleck and his Felcktones play with Phish. Anyone have this show? Bela is one of my favorites, and the whole idea of Victor Wooten and Mike Grodon going back and forth has GOT to be cool. If you wanna trade, lemme know. Dave ------------------------------ From: Michael Henry Subject: Leftover Salmon--info & more Date: Tue, 14 Feb 1995 16:07:55 -0700 Just to let you know, I've just been hired by Leftover Salmon to coordinate a mailing list/network for people who have been taping their shows for the past couple of years. Please get in touch with me if you've been taping them and want to keep in touch. We've got some fun things planned for the future, so *please* get in touch! I'm also starting an unofficial archive for the band, so if you have any HQ DAT boards, I'd be interested in these as well. I've also been asked by Tom Jackson (their manager) to try and start a newsgroup for Leftover. I am currently trying to set up a place to keep an archive/ftp site as well. I'll keep y'all posted here on the phish.net as to how we're progressing on these points. Keep in touch--feel free to email me at the above address & I'll stay in contact. --Michael Henry "And if there's the Bridge And there's Bert It's gotta be a Bridges to Bert!!!" ------------------------------ From: Aron L Ralston Subject: Geddy's Red Rocks Tape Offer Date: Tue, 14 Feb 1995 17:39:51 -0500 My offer to any and all traders (up to the first 10): I have an exquisite 1st generation of a soundboard master from the Red Rocks 6-11-94 show that I will trade to the first 10 respondants for blanks or another show...the catch is that you have to be willing to tape the show for 10 other people in an offer just like this one. A response/tape-list (for those who want to trade) will get you on my top 10 list, so hurry! Remember, this tape is so sweet that it's one of the few shows being considered for the live CDs! Will this album be released by the band's label? What shows will it cover? And, perhaps most importantly, will there be stuff from the White Album covers? I personally would love to see a live album that was just Beatles covers (i.e. from the White Album). Phish could even do a parody of the actual White Ablum cover, substituting "Phish" for "The BEATLES." Then again, I'm totally biased. I love the Beatles. Maybe an entire album of Beatles songs would not be the best choice. Nevertheless, I would love to see some of those covers from the Halloween show included on any live album. The paper deconstructed Gamehenge and told about the taoistic view of the Lizards(surrender to the flow), the classic good vs. evil theme, and the view of Icculus towards the lizards. It was something like: he regarded the lizards as we regard, say, a dead possum in the road. There's more to it than I give it justice, so find the article! As filler on a tape I heard this kinda funky, spacey, acid jazzish, type of thing listed as "Ichabod", is this Phish playing?
