Notes of Interest:

SPRATLY, 9M0.  Francesco, IK0FVC reported that from March 29 to Apri 3
some JA's & 9M6's will be active from Layang Island located in the
Spratly (AS-051) group.  The call should be 9M0A, operation will be on
all bands and modes (NO satellite).

CONWAY REEF, 3D2.  The call signs assigned to this DXpedition are
3D2CU for CW and RTTY and 3D2CT for SSB.  Trip plans to start on March
24 til April 3.

MADAGASCAR, 5R8.  A German group is active from February 25 till March
10.  Calls are 5R8EH (QSL to DL5UF), 5R8EI (QSL to DL2GBT) and 5R8EJ
(QSL to DF5WA).  They will work on all bands from 160 to 10 meters
(including WARC) on CW/SSB/RTTY.

GUERNSEY, GU.  To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Liberation from
Occupying Forces, a special event station will run from 7 to 13th May
1995 with call GB50LIB.  On May 9th will be 24 hour operation.
Activity is on all HF bands CW, SSB and RTTY.

SOUTH SHETLANDS, VP8.  While Thomas, (DL7VTS) DP1KGI op. is now on
route to home, VP8CQS Andy on Arctowski Base should soon get the RTTY
gear (loaned from IRDXA) from Punta Arenas Chile.
