02/26/95 ******************** 1994 National League teams for FPS Baseball '94. To install, copy *.dat to your \baseball\stats directory. Copy *.pyr, *.pyf, *.asn to \baseball\assn. ******************** I am currently working on inputting all of the 1994 season statistics with the DATAIN program provided with Front Page Sports: Baseball by Sierra On-Line. To date I have completed all of the National League and about 40% of the AL. I hope to have the AL completed within a week or so. The attached files consititue a 14 team career association, with all 14 of the National League teams. Here is a sampling of the statistics I entered for EACH team to ensure the accuracy of all of the monthly, home/road, vs. R/vs. L (and other) modifiers in the game: -Base Stats for every batter (avg, G, AB, R, H, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, BB, SO, HBP, GDP, SB, CS, IBB, SH, SF, #Pit, #P/PA, GB, FB) -vs. L/vs. R splits for every batter -Scoring position and clost & late modifiers for every batter -Home/away modifiers for hitters with 125+ plate appearances -Monthly modifiers for hitters with 300+ plate appearances -Base stats for every pitcher (ERA, W, L, Sv, G, GS, IP, BB, SO, Avg, H, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, OBP, SLG, CG, ShO, Sup, QS, #P/S, SB, CS, GB, FG) -Home/away splits for every pitcher -vs. L/vs. R splits for every pitcher -Scoring position and close & late modifiers for pitchers with either 60+ innings or 25+ appearances -Monthly modifiers for pitchers with 125+ innings or 50+ appearances -fielding stats for ALL players (except pitchers) -correct dates of birth, throwing & hitting hands, uniform numbers, skin colors, years of service, managers, stadiums, stadium model (if available) and nearest city. I have NOT made any adjustments to the DATAIN calcualtions. They appear to be surprisingly accurate for hitters, and questionable for some pitchers. However, also note that I am not familiar enough with most pitchers to edit the pitch ratings. Thus, even though Greg Maddux has a killer changeup, the datain may have put most of his points into the screwball. I welcome your input on individual players for the final 28-team teamset. NOTE: Sorry, I accidentally left Chipper Jones on the Braves roster. Those are his 1993 minor league stats to anyone who cares. Also, some of the jersey numbers, years of service (NOTE: I used figures going INTO 1994 as my basis), and skin colors may be incorrect. Please e-mail me if you notice inaccuracies so that I may correct them. Due to the large amount of time I am investing in this, I am thinking of charging a small registration fee for the full version. In addition to the AL teams and corrections to the NL, I would provide copies of the actual DATAIN files. That way owners can make pre-season roster moves (trades) if they would like to simulate 1995 instead of replaying 1994. Anyone who is able to significantly help me with corrections to the attached NL files will get the AL free. I would particularly like to hear from anyone familiar with individual pitchers and what they throw. Thanks and enjoy!!!
