Derrick Burgess DjMail 23311 Schoolcraft St. West Hills, CA 91307 Dear Sysop: Thank you for your interest in DjMail! An offline reader is perhaps the single most time saving feature that can be added to a bbs - what once took 20-25 or more minutes per user can now be accomplished in only 4-6 minutes. There are several Offline Mail doors available for PCBoard, most notably Qmail, MarkMail, and MegaMail - However the first two are not shareware and are out of the price range of most sysops, or are not worth it for the smaller systems. MegaMail is available without purchasing it first, but it requires that you use it's own reader and not one of the more popular .QWK readers like EZ-Reader, Qmail, Session Manager, or SLMR. As an avid bbs user, and firm supporter of the Offline Mail idea, I found it disconcerting that few of my local bbs's had one available even though it would greatly increase the use of their system. After countless conversations I kept getting the same responses (We only have 10-15 conferences I can't justify $50 for the door. Mail Doors are only for bbs's with 100's of echoed conferences. I couldn't get the door installed, and what's a UTI?) well, this was something I could personally do about. Enter DjMail. DjMail is now introduced as the low end Mail Door! DjMail produces .QWK packets compatible with all the more popular offline readers mentioned earlier (Qmail, EzReader, Session Manager). And when used in Conjection with Rnet (by Robert Vostreys, Shareware $25), it can even be used to provide Echo's between two boards accross the street, or accross the country. Best of all DjMail is *** FREE *** I hope that DjMail will get wide use, and further encourage the use of offline reading of mail to free up countless hours of bbs operation, and to help all users to fully think out their comments, and read the messages when they want. Once again, I thank your for your interest in DjMail, and humbly ask for both me and your users that you make DjMail available on your bbs if it fits your system - Thank You! Sincerely, Derrick Burgess DjMail Author
