that deters crime.  NO!  It's not the police station,  they don't do any good.
You have entered the burglar  alarm store.  In this store,  the dealer sells a
burglar alarm for outrageous prices, because they are in demand and people are
willing to PAY  and get ripped off instead of  not pay and get ripped off.  On
the other hand, the burglar alarm,  if you have a house,  does take 25% chance
off of a thief's chance of success in stealing  something (money or furniture)
from   your   house.   Even  a   Crime Lord   can  be  caught  with  25%  off!
