Example of a D'bridge 1.21 Setup The following is a description of an example of my setup for d'bridge. I am a HUB for the Niagara region in Southern Ontario, so much of my setup is geared for the receiving and distribution of echomail to a variety of nodes. For the most part, you may be only receiving mail from one source ie HUB or HOST and may or may not find some of the parameters I use useful. The modem I use is USRobotic HST courier, out of com1. I use the BNU v1.30 as the fossil driver. (At the time of this writing, there have been reports of problems with BNU130a.*, so I'd advise you to use 1.30). The following screen is brought up by typing DB SETUP from the d'bridge. I'm first going to take you through the ADVANCED setup. eg. Screen 1. Any less you'll be unable to use LHARC unless you use a + sign in front of lharc Several people I've talked to have had troubles with dbridge shelling out for lharc, so I try to keep d'bridge resident when decompressing mail. Re: overlay buffer. If this value is too low, it will slow down the performance of d'bridge. If you can, try to maximize your overlay buffer. You do this by increasing your total memory. Again, you'll need enough system memory to run your utilities. The minimum system memory is around 170 k as I mentioned if you use lharc without d'bridge shelling out for it. WorkRAM: 50 (in K) Free WorkRAM: 31347' ^ --- This is the amout of ram needed for your config file. Depending on the number of schedules, and echomail folders you have, will have a bearing on its size. You should try to have about 12000k remaining as shown on the startup of db. Less may cause lockups. This value shown here is rather large, because I'm carrying roughly 65 echos. 30 is usually a reasonable number. 쿐xploding windows?
