ClipBook (nee Scrap Book) is a quick, easy to use image cataloger for use
within Asymetrix ToolBook. It allows you to store both raster (bitmap) and
vector (line oriented) pictures, index them for easy access, and create
slide shows automatically.

It is handy for the ToolBook developer, any programmer, or any Windows
desktop publishing user.


This evaluation version is full and complete; it contains no drop-dead
date or other underhanded tricks to promote registrations.


Features that make ClipBook stand out are:

- Works in color or black and white. Excellent printing of color pictures
on all printers supported by Windows.

- Each picture may be titled and indexed for easy retrieval. Can print a
list of these titles or produce a text file.

- Works with the clipboard seamlessly.

- Multiple catalogs can be kept by simply making copies of the ClipBook
.TBK program.

- Multiple catalogs or ranges of catalogs can be combined easily.

- Includes a Launch facility to easily call Windows desktop publishing
programs. This facility is customizable for use with any Windows program.

- A bookmark saves your place when you exit.

- Includes the latest (ver 1.5) ToolBook runtime.

How to Package:
---------------

This disk contains 3 subdirectories. By needs the disk and BBS
distribution must be done differently.


Disk vendors - to distribute on 360k disks simply put the contents of each
of the subdirectories on a separate disk. The program "INSTALL" will
unarchive the .ZIP files and modify the user's WIN.INI (after first making
a backup). You may add any explanation files to the first disk telling the
user to run INSTALL.

BBS Sysops - Using the descriptions above simply extract the .ZIP files
from each of the subdirectories. You may rename the TBOOKRTx.ZIP files to
CB-TB-RTx.ZIP if you want in order to keep the files together
alphabetically but we named the zip files TBOOKRTx.ZIP in order to make
them easier to find.


EVERYBODY: Please take serious note that the license for the ToolBook
runtime says that it is NOT distributable by itself. The ClipBook program
MUST be distributed at the same time. We interpret this to mean:

Disk vendors may not offer the second and third disk by themselves. Note
that the first disk may be offered singly to customers who already have
ToolBook 1.5 or the ToolBook 1.5 runtime. Note that ClipBook will NOT run
with ToolBook 1.0 or the ToolBook 1.0 runtime.

BBSs may not post the second and third .ZIP file without posting the
first .ZIP file. There is obviously no way to require callers to download
CB-EVAL.ZIP when they download the ToolBook 1.5 runtime though.

Distribution Restrictions and Permissions:

All people are permitted and encouraged to give copies of ClipBook to
friends and co-workers as long as no fee is charged.

Disk vendors in North America who are Approved Vendors of the Association
of Shareware Professionals may include ClipBook in their libraries and
distribute evaluation copies for their normal disk fees. Disk vendors who
are not members of the ASP must obtain permission from the publisher
(above) before distributing ClipBook.

Bulletin Boards and Electronic Communications Services may post ClipBook
for downloading by their customers.

Non-profit user groups may include ClipBook in their libraries and
distribute evaluation copies for their normal disk fees.

All others including anyone interested in bundling ClipBook with printers or
other hardware or software sales must obtain the permission and license of
the publisher (above) before distributing ClipBook.

Anyone distributing ClipBook must include all files present in the
CLIPBOOK.ZIP package and may not alter any of the files in any way.

You can register an expanded version of ClipBook with 500+ pictures
already installed by sending $80 + 5 postage.


You might also be able to find ClipBook at your local software dealer. If

Site licenses are available for ClipBook. A site license entitles you to
use this software on all of the computers in a building, campus, or plant.
You will receive 2 master disks and 2 manuals to make copies from as you
wish. Additional master disks and manuals are available as needed.
Telephone support and update notices for site licensees of ClipBook must
be directed through one person at the licensee's location. For site

Additionally, VAR licenses are available for computer retailers and
consultants. This entitles the seller to bundle ClipBook with computers,
printers, or other hardware or software sold at retail. The buyer of the
computers will become registered users of ClipBook at no additional fee upon
